Proof - (1.Way)

1. Way:  Causes are doing everything. (Positivism)

We shall mention only three of its numerous impossibilities:

First Impossibility:

Imagine there is a pharmacy in which there are hundreds of jars and phials filled with quite different substances. A living potion and a living remedy are required from those medicaments. So we go to the pharmacy and see that they are to be found there in abundance, yet in great variety. We examine each of the potions and see that the ingredients have been taken in varying but precise amounts from each of the jars and phials, one ounce from this, three from that, seven from the next, and so on. If one ounce too much or too little had been taken, the potion would not have been living and would not have displayed its special quality. Next, we study the living remedy. Again, the ingredients have been taken from the jars in a particular measure so that if even the most minute amount too much or too little had been taken, the remedy would have lost its special property.

Now, although the jars number more than fifty, the ingredients have been taken from each according to measures and amounts that are all different. Is it in any way possible or probable that the phials and jars should have been knocked over by a strange coincidence or sudden gust of wind and that only the precise, though different, amounts that had been taken from each of them should have been spilt, and then arranged themselves and come together to form the remedy? Is there anything more superstitious, impossible and absurd than this?

Similarly, each living being may be likened to the living potion in the comparison, and each plant to a living remedy. For they are composed of matter that has been taken in most precise measure from truly numerous and truly various substances. If these are attributed to causes and the elements and it is claimed, “Causes created these,” it is unreasonable, impossible and absurd a hundred times over, just as it was to claim that the potion in the pharmacy came into existence through the phials being knocked over; by accident.

I n S h o r t : The vital substances in this vast pharmacy of the universe, which are measured on the scales of Divine Determining and Decree of the All-Wise and Pre-Eternal One, can only come into existence through a boundless wisdom, infinite knowledge and all-encompassing will. The unfortunate person who declares that they are the work of blind, deaf and innumerable elements and causes and natures, which stream like floods; and the foolish, delirious person who claims that that wondrous remedy poured itself out when the phials were knocked over and formed itself, are certainly unreasonable and nonsensical. Indeed, such denial and unbelief is a senseless absurdity.

Everybody knows that there are a number of necessary conditions for occurence of a potion;

1.  Substances:  It is essential that the substances have to be present and ready.

2.  Laboratory: A lab environment is needed for such a precisive work, to protect the process against the effects of external environment.

3. Formula:  According to what these ingredients will combine and constitute a potion? A need for a formula, which requires information and knowledge, is obvious.

4. Pharmacist:  Who is going to apply the formula? What is it, that will bring the substances together in appropriate amounts and order according to the formula? Isn’t it clear that it cannot be done without a pharmacist?

So, while all of these requirements are needed for the presence of a simple potion, how can we give these far more complex and magnificent creatures and the universe into the hands of blind, deaf, aimless causes?

Second Impossibility:

Everything in the material realm is under restrictions of the laws of the material realm. Accordingly, if the “cause” is material then it must be present inside or near the “effect”. In other words,  you have to touch it if you want to compose something in the material realm. It doesn’t happen with remotely controlled hocuspocus. For instance, if a table is material, it means that the maker made it right next to it.

Since the causes are under restrictions of material laws of this world, they need to be inside or near the thing to create it. Let’s say an ant will be created. Which causes are needed to create it? The elements (Na, Ca, Mg, N, C, H, O),  sun, soil, air,water... All of these must work and move in full alliance in the body of the ant. The otherwise is not possible in material world, if we give the creation of the ant to the causes. A phosphorus atom used in the eyes of the ant must be put there by the soil itself. If something from the sun is necessary, the sun needs to put it there in person. Ten thousand cells of an ant cannot reach even the size of a pinhead. How does it possible that this much causes enter and work in such a small area?

Let’s look at the issue in another perspective. Gathering together of all the elements that make up the ant’s body in perfect order, measure and full alliance for the sake of a goal is a very big issue all on its own. But what is perfect order and measure? An atom is in order in two respects; 1. In itself, with its protons, neutrons and electrons, tremendous work in harmony. 2. Order and harmony in relations with other atoms. Then, at an outer circle, a cell’s own order in itself (which is made up of atoms) and accomodation between the cells. In the next outer circle an organ’s own order in itself (which is made up of cells) and harmony between the other organs of the organism. Finished? Absolutely not. Shouldn’t we see the relationship of this organism with the outside world? Can it be possible to survive for an ant without proper hardware and equipment which will provide compliance with all the laws and rules of the universe? So, these facts should be considered when we talk about order, harmony and balance.

Now, let us come to the issue of alliance and goal. All the material reasons (Sun, air, soil, water and element), which make up an ant, must have had an alliance for this goal. Because we know that, there has to be an alliance in every organized, systematic and harmonious thing. Think of an army that the soldiers don’t obey the orders and they don’t work together for a common purpose. Everybody moves on his own. There would be no need to enemy to be defeated. Or think of a calcium atom. Is there any intelligence, insight, knowledge, will or consciousness in it to cooperate with a nitrogen atom for a common goal? One cannot explain it with simple chemical laws. Because the laws can barely explain how but not why.

So the point is; if a mindless calcium atom is doing pretty smart jobs then it indicates us the presence of an unseen mind. If the aimless earth is moving to a purpose then it is an evidence of somebody behind, with a purpose. To simplify this, I am going to give an example. Imagine a remotely controlled toy car and put that in front of an ancient man. Then take the remote and start to control the car from a hidden place. What is he going to think when he sees the car moving by its own?  It is stopping when it comes to an obstacle and moving around without crashing. There are to ways in front of our ancient man. Either he is going to think that this thing is very smart, can see everywhere so it doesn’t crash, has its own will, so it goes whereever it wants etc. Or he will get that this lifeless, eyeless, mindless thing cannot do anything by its own. So thare has to be somebody around who sees everything to control it. Yes, It’s that simple actually.

At first glance, cause and effect seem very close to one another. But infact, when you look at carefully you will see that they are very far from each other. Cow and milk, tree and apple appears to be tightly adherent. Is that so? No need to tell the benefits of milk. Well, how can a cow produce it while even if the whole human race together can’t.  Does cow know human? Does it know what we need to? Does it aware of the structure of our body or our digestive system? No, it doesn’t. But there is an obvious milk fact that fits the needs of us. So, it is essential the presence of one behind, who knows our needs, our stomach and our body systems systems in detail. Ok, forget that for a moment. Suppose that cow has got all of mentioned attributes and talents. Now the question is; why would the cow produce milk for the people while it never sees its benefit. Or why would a tree drink mud and reserve the delicious apple for us? Do they have compassion and love for us that we don’t know? If the answer is no, then the obvious compassion in front of our eyes is coming from somewhere else.

Third Impossibility:

If there is unity of a being, then is has to be created by one hand. Let’s demonstrate this sentence with an example. The command of a hundred soldiers by one officer is a hundred times easier than the command of one soldier by a hundred officers. What happens if one soldier is subordinated to a hundred officers? Which officer’s orders wil he serve? It will be a total mess. On the other hand commanding of thousands of soldiers  by the administration of a single commander is, as easy as commanding of one soldier. Because everything has been leaded from one center and everybody will obey to one order. Just like that, the unification of a wide variety of causes for the presence of a single thing is much more difficult than creation of many things by a single hand.  Especially if it is a living creature which has a perfect unity and a beautiful harmony, then it completely refutes the theory of unification of causes.  Is it possible that all this harmony and order is  given into the hands of an infinite number of lifeless, ignorant, unconscious, aggressive, blind and deaf causes. The sun wants to burn, the oceans want to invade, the wind wants to sweep everything. None of them has compassion, kindness, pity, measure, rule or consciousness. But despite all these facts, neither there is a chaos nor even a single absurd or nonsensical thing in the universe. What else can we account with this fact, other than a single hand which rules everything?

At this point, let me ask an interesting question. If we put all of these causes(the sun, air, soil, water elements etc.) to one side and all the living things (plants, animals, humans) to the other side,  and if we ask to someone who just came into the world that “which side do you think can create the other side?”, what do you think the answer would be? How would you answer? Which choice make sense? Of course you will say: “living things which are more complex and advanced, make more sense to create the other primitive side.” But we see that the opposite is happening. Vision is being created by blind atoms, intelligence is coming from mindless elements, consciousness from consciousless, life from lifeless... Yes, this is what we are facing today which is presented in the name of science. Yet, even if all the material causes and elements is put together in the most advanced laboratories, with the power of all humanity using the last technology for the sake of this purpose, it is impossible to give life to a small artificial cell.  How can we explain this now?

Let’s look at the issue from a different angle. While the “thing”  gets  more complex, the number of the causes which are thought to be responsible for it increases. In parallel the impossibility will be reinforced. For example imagine that we are trying to organize a task with a team of blind people. The more the number of people, the harder the task to be accomplished. What if these people are also deaf and dumb. Is it possible to do a task with these people who are unaware of each other? Now increase the number of them. That is the situation,  why the word of “chaos” is stands for. Well then, how come blind, deaf, dumb and mindless causes creates a being which shows a great harmony and order within its complexity?

Here is another example; different elements in foods we eat, where do they know where to go in the body? Did they enter the human body  before? Do they know the systems of it? Why does the calcium go into the bone but phosphorus go to the eye? Guess what would happen if one of them lost the way. To which mindless cause do we give this perfect job which requires infinite knowledge and wisdom?

So far, we have talked about and proved that material causes are not able to create this material realm. What about the soul and spirit that the hands of material causes can never reach and touch? Whereas, that world is ten times more complex and wonderful  than the material world. Compassion, thinking, pride, arrogance, embarrassment, sadness, joy, pleasure, conscience, will ...  How did all these come into being? The sun has nothing to do with my compassion.  How could air be responsible from my embarrassment. Have you ever heard of such a thing that the source of arrogance is nitrogen element? Can you imagine that  your willpower  is coming from a piece of meat?

So,  connecting  all the universe and everything in it to causes  requires  to accept  all of these impossibilities and ravings. You must be blind to say that a blind sees. Only ignorance can attribute wisdom to an ignorant. We have nothing  to say for such ignorant  and blind people, our words are for the people who seek only the truth.

Now, before closing this “causes issue” let me mention a probable question that likely to come to mind:

If the causes have no effect on anything and if they cannot be the creator, then why do they exist? Why, even the smallest tasks, must be connected to a cause?

Because this is not our main concern,  I think it will be enough if I give two reasons among many others:

God  has placed apparent causes there as veils to cover his hand of power. Because of mighty, honor and greatness, the causes were created as a screen to God in two ways:

1. For example, a sultan sends a gift to someone. But he sends it with a herald or a carrier. He does not take it to the man personally. Because sultanate and mighty requires so.  But the man who takes the gift thanks to sultan not to the carrier. If he ignores or forgets the sultan and kisses the carrier’s hands, everyone gets that how foolish he is. Just as in this example God has made the causes as a screen. Those servants, carriers and instruments exist in order to keep and show the mighty and grandeur of the sultan. In other words, they exist to hide the contact between the grandness and small or worthless jobs. But we all know that the real action behind the curtain belongs to himself.

2. The causes are created in order to prevent  the unfair complaints and wrong objections  turn to the God. So they exist to be a target plate.  For example diseases  are veils to death, so the people who can not see the wisdom and beauty behind the death, will not impute God for this. What do we always say to deaths? “He died of cancer, he was shot,  road accident etc”. So infact they are all simple causes and veils. It is God who gives life and death and does all the activities we see around.

            2. Way (It forms itself)

            3. Way (Natue creates it)

"There are two sorts of unbelief and misguidance. Non-acceptance is one thing and denial is something quite different. Non-acceptance is indifference, a closing of the eyes to something, an ignorant absence of judgement, an abdication, and the absence of acceptance. It may mask many completely impossible things and the mind does not concern itself with them. As for denial, it is a judgement of the mind and pertains to belief. The mind is compelled to work. It does not only deny belief, but opens up a way that is the opposite of it. It is the acceptance of what is false and invalid, the proof of the reverse of truth. This is not only the denial and refutation of belief, it is its opposite. It is not non-acceptance, but the acceptance of non-being, and can only be accepted through proving non-existence. In accordance with the rule “Non-existence cannot be proved,” it is certainly not easy to prove it."

"It can be realized from this comparison how easy it is to make a positive affirmation and how difficult to make a denial and negation. If, for example, someone should say, "there exists somewhere on this earth a wondrous garden containing canned milk," and someone else should say, "there is not," the affirmer need only point to the place of that garden or show some of its fruits in order to prove his claim. The denier, by contrast, will have to inspect and display the whole world in order to justify his negation."
